Notice: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers are required to give clients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including mental health care.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care may cost.
-
You will receive a written Good Faith Estimate at the time of intake or upon request.
-
This estimate will outline the expected costs for therapy services you may receive at Illuminating Pathways Counseling.
-
The estimate is not a bill but is meant to help you understand and prepare for your potential out-of-pocket costs.
-
You can request a Good Faith Estimate at any time before or during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
